The '10' List 11

10 Verbal Photographs

1. I had a vision that my life was a video game. All the characters made up in it consisted of tiny block like figures.
2. I don’t know if there was ever a book written like this, but I had an interesting vision. What if there was a book where the narration was completely in the point of view of the scenery around the characters, instead of the characters themselves talking.
3. I was driving down I-75 and I could not help but notice that there was graffiti everywhere. I am going to admit that some of the graffiti is very intriguing, but some places they put it are outrageous. For example, I saw it on a streetlight; how they got up there is beyond belief.
4. I read that hair on your head grows a half-inch a month, roughly. I wonder if that is the same as the rest of your body?
5. I had a dream that all the roads in the world were yellow after watching alive in wonderland at the bar. I think I’ll write a story with that characteristic.
6. I work at the Detroit Medical Center and they sold their share to private investors, it turns out that it was illegal transaction, according to some news article. I was wondering what it would be like if somebody purchased the government. A new style of government and innovative one.
7. I was reading a story that featured Medusa from Greek Mythology, which got me thinking, what if there really was some kind of super power that somebody possessed to turn somebody to stone.
8. There are studies that say that California is separating away from the United States. It seems that California has enough money within itself to survive as a separate country. I was just thinking if California became an independent country, would it remain allies with the United States.
9. Almost everybody, who can see, has the sight of color within their perception, but what if people only saw in sounds. For example, they only saw in sounds waves and had to make noises to get around to refrain from running into something.
10. I have a belief that music should be free. I know that musicians are workers too, but what if taxes went to musicians and all music was free. I think music is such a beautiful thing that people should not be greedy over.

10 Treasures

1. “Moving on, is a simple thing, what it leaves behind is hard.” -Dave Mustaine
2. “Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections.” -Anonymous
3. “For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.” -Judy Garland
4. “When you start to abandoning your old beliefs or values... you may be stuck at the threshold for two or three years. Before moving on, you have to clear away your cherished beliefs.” -Dick Raymond
5. “The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can and as often as you can, and keep moving on.” -Ulysses S. Grant
6. “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving” -Albert Einstein
7. “I replaced the headlights in my car with strobe lights, so it looks like I'm the only one moving.” -Stephen Wright
8. “I conversed with you in a dream.” -Anne Carson
9. “Virginity, Virginity, why are you gone leaving me behind?” -Anne Carson
10. “Spangled is the earth with her crowns” -Anne Carson

My verbal photographs are all devoted to visions of my week that I thought were significantly outrageous. I want to write a story incorporating at least a few of these characteristics such as, the roads being yellow and California being a completely separate country. The idea of a whole separate government so close to us, like Canada, is intriguing. The freedom of the mind is the main aspect of my verbal photographs this week. It is odd that we only use a small portion of our brain and our ideas are vast. To have the brain power to develop your sense tenfold would be astonishing. For example, if you could see sound; it would be so amazing; the sound waves that are bouncing off every thing right in front of your face.
My treasures are devoted to the power of moving on. I have had some troubles in my life and looked to others to help me move on. It is encouraging to know people have gone through the troubles that I have went through, for example, love and loss. It can be a horrible thing to go through. Quotes like, Einstein’s scientific quotes all the way to Carson’s fragment drives me. Any type of person can motivate you and, lucky for me, I search for this motivation everywhere. It is a great thing to have help in all corners of the world; you just have to constantly look for it everywhere. That is even if it is in somebody else’s logic
